      Is Upper Mustang still recommended? I’ve been hearing mixed reviews lately because of the new road construction does it take away from that “remote” feel, or are there still enough trails to keep the trekking experience authentic?

        I personally wouldn’t recommend it for a traditional trek anymore. With the extensive road construction, the “remote” feel has definitely shifted.

        Instead, it has become an ideal destination for a Jeep or motorbike tour. If you’re looking for an authentic trekking experience, you’ll find yourself on the road quite a bit, so it’s much better enjoyed as a rugged road trip.
